What to do with the flaxseed "press cake"
Our neighborhood farmers market has a stand with a flaxseed oil expeller. The owner gave me a few pounds of the leftover mill (the “press cake”).
Apparently this is pretty nutritious stuff: lots of protein, flaxseed oil (the mechanical expeller does not extract 100% of the flaxseed oil), vitamins, fiber, and Reading More May Cause Envy…
