Pupusa - Supposed to squeeze out all the cheese & burn it?
I’ve enjoyed pupusas on a few occasions, yet in one instance the chef squeezed the cheese/filling out of most of them and burned them to the edges. I wouldn’t say they were “nicely caramelized” either.
Recently someone online told me that’s how Salvadorans enjoy their pupusas – that it’s supposed Reading More May Cause Envy…
