cooking beets
Barbara Kafka’s Microwave Gourmet says that nuking beets is as good as baking them, better in fact since they cook rapidly and with no mess. I have found Kafka’s timings reliable, but it all depends on the wattage of the oven. I haven’t tried beets in the microwave, Reading More May Cause Envy…
