Questions on cooking with salted pork

I was looking at this recipe for petit sale (http://www.france.fr/en/gastronomy/petit-sale-lentils) and wanted to know if I am interpreting this right:
I place the pork in a brine solution for 2 nights and then poach the pork in boiling water, then drain and add more water to boil with herbs for Reading More May Cause Envy…
